Coach Application
Grizzly Hockey is looking for enthusiastic individuals who can lead, inspire, and develop local youth hockey players both on and off the ice.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance players' technical skills, tactical understanding, and physical conditioning.
Conduct regular team practices, focusing on individual player development as well as team strategies and coordination.
Analyze performance and provide constructive feedback to players & parents, encouraging continuous improvement.
Foster a positive and cohesive culture that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect among players and coaching staff.
Collaborate with other coaches and management to set team goals and create a winning strategy for each season.
Coordinate with other coaches and support staff to ensure a well-rounded and comprehensive training program for the entire organization.
Serve as a mentor and role model for young athletes, instilling important values both on and off the ice.
Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in hockey coaching and integrate innovative techniques into the team's training regimen.
Requirements:
Desire to be a positive influence and role model for young athletes.
Passion for hockey and athletic knowledge / ability to demonstrate or design and explain training drills.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire players.
Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive team environment.
Positive disposition and constructive in providing feedback to players and parents.
Availability for flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
Must have / acquire / pass: USA Hockey membership, USA Hockey Coaching Certification (CEP & age specific module), Safesport Certification, and Background Check
